FLEET MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to help ensure reliability and efficiency of our heavy mining equipment and ancillary machinery. In this role, you will support the Fleet Manager by tracking equipment and components, creating weekly maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with the planned maintenance program through the work management system, and coordinating resources to complete work safely and efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Equipment Management
- Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment on site.
- Keep the equipment database up to date.
- Track and report daily equipment hour meter readings.
- Update maintenance records with current service and preventative maintenance (PM) statuses.
- Ensure regulatory documentation is current and accurate.
Work Order Management
- Create work orders as required.
- Manage and prioritize work order backlog.
- Ensure all open work orders meet required standards and maintain accurate status updates.
Weekly Maintenance Schedule
- Develop and communicate the weekly maintenance plan in collaboration with maintenance supervision.
- Ensure resources are in place (parts, labor, etc) are secured in advance.
- Monitor compliance to plan and reconcile planned vs. actual work.
- Track the progress of planned work through shop and field visits.
- Generate weekly and monthly plan compliance statistics.
Job Planning
- Prepares job plans for scheduled maintenance.
- Provide time and cost estimates for job plans.
- Coordinate resources to ensure efficient execution of maintenance tasks.
- Order parts for planned and additional work as required.
General Responsibilities
- Complete adhoc reports and projects as assigned.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment for all maintenance activities.
- Provide direction and support to team members, assisting with their professional development
- Perform other duties and tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years experience in leadership or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems.
- Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean Drivers Abstract and reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
What we offer:
- $40 - $45 per hour, depending on experience
- Standard benefits package
Location: This position will be based out of the Kamloops / Thompson area of British Columbia. This is not a camp position; employees will be required to travel to site.
