PERSONNEL COORDINATOR
Nhwelmen Construction is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting our workforce through effective coordination of administrative, onboarding, payroll and communication processes. The Personnel Coordinator ensures that employee-related tasks run smoothly while contributing to a positive and respectful workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records and documentation
- Coordinate job postings, monitor applicants, and schedule interviews
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire checklists and exit interviews
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits and general workplace matters
- Perform payroll data entry, process payroll and maintain payroll records
- Administer benefit enrollment and provide employee support for coverage questions
- Assist in resolving workplace issues and fostering a healthy, respectful work environment
- Prepare and maintain subcontractor agreements in accordance with company policies and project requirements
- Track and organize personnel data to support internal reporting and process improvements
- Lead or support initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Management team
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a personnel, administrative, or HR support role within Canada
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Experience with Greenshield is an asset
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust with a diverse team
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to complete online orientations and digital training requirements as needed
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and access to reliable transportation
Location: This position will be based out of our Kamloops office.
