Excavator Operators

We are currently recruiting experienced Excavator Operators to join our growing team working at the Highland Valley Copper Mine near Logan Lake.

• $32 - $40 per hour, based on experience

General Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work safely in a mining or civil construction environment following company procedures and policies
• Daily 360° inspection of all equipment for operational and safety checks and advise if repair is required
• Accurately complete all work reports and maintenance logs as required
• Perform other related tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Ability to complete mandatory internet-based Orientation and Indoctrination training and certification

• Class 5 Driver’s Licence and ability to provide a clean Drivers Abstract 

• Operate safely with care and attention to the equipment, the jobsite and the crew
• 3 plus years’ experience operating a CAT Excavator

• Familiar with Field Level Hazard Assessment
• Willingness to step out of the cab and perform labour tasks if and when required
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
• Strict attention and compliance with equipment cleanliness, maintenance and completing logs

• Experience on other equipment such as dozers is an asset
• Mining experience an asset

• Good communication skills
• Reliable transportation

Location: This position is based out of the Highland Valley Copper Mine near Logan Lake, British Columbia.

This is not a camp position; employees provide their own transportation to/from the job site.
